Bristol Coon is a Southern California native whose music and songwriting has been styled by the coastal landscape he grew up in. With major musical influences such as The Eagles, Neil Young, U2, Coldplay and The Rolling Stones, it might be somewhat of a surprise to hear how this Country Americana artist has come to create somewhat of a genre of his own.

While drawing inspiration from a bygone era, he has most closely been compared to Willie Nelson, Tom Petty, Jackson Browne, and Neil Young with more recent hints of Drive By Truckers, My Morning Jacket, and Lukas Nelson evident in his vocal timbre and songwriting.

While growing up in Southern California, Bristol listened to a range of genres from Surf Rock and Reggae to British Alternative and Indie Folk with a heavy appreciation of roots music such as Country, Jazz, and Blues having grown up on Classic Rock. In 2021, Bristol packed up and headed for the South driving across the country with his suitcase full of songs to Nashville, Tennessee where he would take root as an artist and songwriter.

What was initially supposed to be a six month stay turned into a permanent vacation in Music City where he found himself right at home amongst a similar cloth of inspired songwriters and musicians. Bristol has established a style in is his ability to incorporate eclectic musical genres in a distinctive way without losing appreciation for his influences and deep love for the music that shaped him.
